The New Old Era: My Journey into Cinematography

I’ve been shooting still frames for the last 20 years. Through this entire time I’ve also been a great admirer of motion picture film. Since 2023, I’ve been making short videos with my iPhone and I finally got around to show people last year. It was recommended that I start trying my hand as a Cinematographer. I started last year in 2024 with a Canon 514XL Super 8 film camera. I was blown away by the results after I got my first roll of 100m film developed. I eventually graduated this year to a Krasnoyarsk 3 and a Bolex H16 Reflex 16mm cinema camera. I hope that you enjoy these short films as much as I have enjoyed making them. Additionally, drop me a line if you are interested in collaborating on a project.

A Day in Firenze (Golden Goose Collab)

    Camera: Beaulieu 4008ZM (Version 4)

    Film Stock: Kodak 200T

    Location: Firenze, Italy

I don’t buy very much of anything nowadays but when I do buy shoes they are golden goose ballstars. I don’t buy them because of the hype, but because they somehow get along excellent with my pancake feet. They can also be re-soled to give the pair a an extended life. No two pairs are the same.

My boy Lovick hooked me up with two tickets to a workshop that the brand was offering in Florence, Italy along with an opportunity to see the new collection. I went and made a short video. Shout out to Lovick and Reda for the invitation.

    Perso e Ritrovato a Roma

Cami is a friend, an artist, and a very multitalented creative. We made this lifestyle video of her at her home in Testaccio, a neighbourhood in Rome, Italy. A photoshoot and video session that should have taken thirty minutes ended up being three hours. We did the majority of the shoot at her home and then took an adventure to the Aventino Hill near Circo Massimo. We walked and talked and photographed. It was time well spent.
